Double Slider Card ...

Another slider card today, this one is a double slider and is not difficult to make. Quite fun to give though - you pull the tab and a hidden panel slides out! This one uses one of the new unmounted sets from the Autumn/Winter mini - Cottage Garden.

The other great thing I'm enjoying about the new unmounted sets is how much less space they take up. I took a photo comparing seven unmounted sets and seven mounted sets, just to show how much space you can save.

That's all for now ...

Colour Renovation is coming!!

Stampin Up have announced that the new 2010 catalogue will include fresh, updated colour families to the Stampin Up range of products. The new collections will include some old favourites, some returning In Colours, and some completely new colours.

The new collections will be called Brights, Subtles, Regals and Neutrals. If you would like a copy of the chart emailed to you, just email me and I can send one to you. I'm sure you'll agreed the new collections are exciting, and a bit less overwhelming than the old colour families.

There is plenty of time to stock up on reinkers of your favourite colours if they are retiring, but don't leave it to the last minute! If you would like to place an order, Sunday is my order day so any orders placed during the week will be sent in on Sunday evening. Product is usually delivered to me by Wednesday, I deliver to you Thursday or Friday.

Happy Stamping!

A busy stamping day ...

Stamped almost all day today, what a luxury! As promised, some more cards that I could do as a workshop for a group.

Now, I don't know about you, but we seem to send gift cards to relatives more lately rather than gifts. We have rellies that live a distance away so gift cards are easier to post. Also all the neices and nephews are getting older and would rather a gift card than a weird present from their dorky aunty, you know?

So a female and male version of a pocket card with room for a gift card ...

Card 1 materials: (All Stampin Up except for pearls) Rich Razzleberry, Whisper White and Kiwi Kiss cardstock, Vintage Vogue and Vintage Labels stamp sets, Rich Razzleberry, Kiwi Kiss and Orchid Opulence ink, and Kiwi Kiss satin ribbon.

Card 2 materials: (All Stampin Up) Soft Suede, Baja Breeze and Whisper White cardstock, Soft Suede, Baja Breeze and Old Olive ink, Vintage Labels, Wanted stamp sets and Medallion single stamp, d/s paper from the Cottage Wall paper pack, and a Filigree Brad.

I love how the new in colours (Rich Razzleberry, Soft Suede and Melon Mambo) go so well with the older in colours - Kiwi Kiss and Rich Razzleberry are my favourites so far. Remember the new mini catalogue goes on sale on 1 April, I will put a link on my blog here so you can look at the new catalogue on line.

The next card is a bit of fun, it's a slider card. The outside doubles as an envelope. You grab the tabs at the top and bottom, and pull them apart to reveal the inside, where you can write your message. They are bigger than an ordinary A6 card and make a nice change for a really special occasion like a wedding, anniversary or special birthday. Or just if you want to show off!!

Slider card materials: (All Stampin Up) d/s paper from the Bella Rose pack, Kiwi Kiss and Very Vanilla cardstock, Riding Hood Red, Pink Pirouette and Kiwi Kiss ink, Vintage Vogue, Totally Tabs and Vintage Labels stamp sets, Eyelet Lace punch, Tab punch, Stampin Up Little Leaves sizzlit die, oval punch.

When I finished stamping I had a few strips of scrap card that all co-ordinated together quite well, so I made this ...

So that's it for today!

Finally a post ....!!!

Okey dokey folks, here's some pictures of some of the new cards I've been making lately. Stampin Up have a new mini catalogue starting on 1 April and it is jammed packed with a heap of lovely new goodies. I probably want something from every page! I got my hands on some of the new stuff and had a beano making up samples for my mini launch, which I held yesterday. A lot of these cards would make great workshops, so pick out your faves, get some buddies together and lets get stamping!

So, first up, some glitter cards (these would make great girly workshop projects!)

How gorgeous is that Pony Party set!!! An absolute must for cards if you have any little girls in your life.

Next up, a couple of cards using a new (well, to me anyway!!) technique - embossing powder resist.

The second card was inspired by a card in Craft Stamper magazine by Lousette Ashton.

That's about it for now, check back soon for some more ....

A Very Naughty Blogger ....

How bad a blogger am I, must be several months since my last post. Apologies to anyone who has come back having a look and there has been nothing new for such a long time. Well, all I can say is I'll try to improve!!

Happy Spring!!!

At last .... it's spring! I hate the cold! Those lovely balmy spring days are stretching out ahead of us. To welcome Spring, Stampin Up have a special offer for September - not one but two rolls of ribbon in So Saffron grosgrain and Certainly Celery poly twill for any order of $100 and over, or a workshop with $600 in sales. What a great way to kick start your spring cardmaking with these fresh colours!

I also have a gorgeous spring card to share with you. On this card I used a technique called "flooding" that I found here http://pattystamps.com/pattys_stamping_spot/videos/. I then used my roses to make a flowerpot card. Be warned, you won't be able to make just one of these stunning roses!

So here's my card ...

We'll be making this card at the September Girls Night In Stampers 10 Club on the 25th. It's the last club night for the year. I'm hoping to start a new club in February next year, so if you're interested drop me an email. It's heaps of fun!
